Located at the back half of The Orangery Village development, Kitchen 919 brings new life to the former location of the Orangery Restaurant, a premier event space and eatery within the Knoxville community. Inspired by the unique bones of the existing building, the restaurant builds on ornate details while introducing an art deco feel.
Dark, lush interiors are highlighted with accents of gold and eye-catching details. Paying tribute to the history of the building, many elements were renovated and given new life in the existing restaurant. The existing spiral stair, which greets patrons at the restaurant’s entry, was updated and further celebrated with a gold railing and coordinated geometric wall mural beyond. The stair leads to the restaurant’s existing ballroom, which was updated with a new color palette to better suite the dining interiors on the floor below.
The dining space creates an elegant, yet comfortable atmosphere. The restaurant’s bar and lounge, tucked away off the side of the spacious dining room, complements the dining space while also being uniquely its own experience. A highlight of the bar and lounge layout is the reuse of the existing wine cellar as a cozy area for semi-private seating.
Blending the history of the building with a fresh and new locally crafted menu, Kitchen 919 offers a captivating experience for every visitor and every occasion.
