Bearden Office

This modern office building maximizes its compact site by infilling between two existing commercial buildings. A simple building form is complemented by a central courtyard, which serves as the entryway and provides views and natural light, despite the proximity of exterior walls to property lines.

The main corridor wraps around the courtyard, granting access to offices and the conference room. Glass storefronts in these spaces offer privacy while maintaining views and daylight penetration.

Neutral color palettes dominate both interior and exterior, lending a contemporary ambiance to the building. Concrete floors, gold accents, and white subway tile are punctuated by touches of blue, while Corten steel panels add texture and color variation to the facade, originally intended as white brick but executed in painted brick for cost-effectiveness.
