Buddy’s Bar-B-Q, a family-owned business rooted in the Knoxville area since 1972, has been serving East Tennessee with corporate-owned and franchise locations for over 50 years. In 2020, we partnered with them to expand their brand in Clinton and Bristol.

Maintaining consistency with the interior materials palette of previous locations was paramount to the client, ensuring that every customer experiences the authentic Buddy’s Bar-B-Q atmosphere upon entering any restaurant. While preserving the brand’s design across multiple locations, we also tailor the design to each establishment’s unique requirements.
The Clinton location, depicted in the photos, boasts an outdoor patio, a unique addition to the standard franchise design. Large umbrellas provide ample shade for outdoor dining, creating a comfortable space to savor a meal.
In Clinton, for instance, the building shell design leaned toward a modern aesthetic with cool tones, prompting us to adapt the materials and color palette of the smoker enclosure to harmonize with the building’s exterior.
