Fire + Smoke, a southern prime steakhouse by the founder of Archer’s BBQ, marries elevated southern cuisine with an inviting and cozy atmosphere. This establishment is designed to provide an experience that resonates with patrons seeking a refined yet comfortable dining setting.
The client’s vision encapsulated the desire for a high-style boutique ambiance characterized by soft, warm lighting and a striking central fireplace, all contributing to an intimate atmosphere ideally suited for romantic evenings and that intimate “date-night” feel.

The extensive renovations undertaken to realize this vision included the construction of a modern kitchen, an expansive dining area, a vibrant bar, and essential restroom facilities. Considerable attention was given to creating an efficient layout that would facilitate seamless service while establishing distinct zones within the space. This process presented unique challenges, primarily due to the constraints of limited square footage and the multifunctional requirements of the establishment. As a result, it was necessary to enhance the existing systems and incorporate soundproofing measures to ensure an enjoyable dining experience that mitigated noise and distractions.
Among the distinctive features of Fire + Smoke is the central fireplace, which serves as both a functional element and a design focal point, elegantly dividing the dining area from the bar space. This fireplace not only enhances the cozy appeal of the steakhouse but also serves as a visual anchor that draws guests into the warmth and intimacy of the surroundings. Additionally, the incorporation of metal curtains provides an effective means of screening various areas, allowing for privacy without sacrificing the open, inviting atmosphere.
The overall design palette leans towards moody, dark tones that evoke the warmth and allure of fire, coupled with rustic finishes that add depth and character to the establishment. This carefully curated aesthetic is complemented by plush seating arrangements that invite guests to relax and enjoy their meals, all under the embrace of soft, ambient lighting that heightens the sense of intimacy and comfort.
