Born in Knoxville, Proper Popcorn is dedicated to crafting high-quality popcorn in a vibrant and engaging environment. The Johnson brothers aimed for a stylish and Instagram-worthy space while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

The transformation of the vanilla-box tenant space prioritized lightening existing features, with white walls and fixtures enlarging the space and serving as a neutral backdrop for Proper Popcorn products. Drawing inspiration from classic soda shops with a modern twist, the interior architecture exudes a playful charm.

Every corner of the retail space invites enjoyment, from the hand-crafted popcorn flavors to the colorful wall of candy selections and barcode accents along the walls. Combining wall and free-standing shelves, a popcorn counter, and self-serve station allows customers to customize their treat.

Collaborating closely with the owner and marketing consultants, the R2R studio team contributed to finalizing the logo and branding, ensuring a cohesive design that effectively showcases the Proper Popcorn brand.
