Tackett’s Restaurant, located at the Fox Den Country Club in West Knoxville, underwent its first major remodel since the building’s construction in 1969. The client had a clear vision for their restaurant, aiming to create a space that felt both modern and timeless. The design aimed to enhance the dining experience while taking full advantage of the beautiful views of the surrounding golf course.
project info
One of the main challenges we faced was the limited space available, as Tackett’s Restaurant is located on the lower level of the clubhouse. Despite these constraints, our team worked diligently to maximize the area’s functionality. We focused on creating an open, inviting feel that would appeal to diners. The color scheme we chose was anchored in neutral tones of gray and cream, complemented by vibrant green accents that echoed the natural beauty of the outdoors. To achieve a sophisticated yet timeless aesthetic, we incorporated classic patterns and materials throughout the restaurant.
A key aspect of the renovation was the expansion of the kitchen, designed to be larger and more functional, which would improve efficiency and the quality of food service. Alongside the kitchen expansion, a crucial goal was to establish a smooth transition between the indoor and outdoor areas. The indoor-outdoor bar area received a substantial upgrade, enhancing the overall social atmosphere of the restaurant. This would allow for a more versatile dining experience and to ensure that guests could enjoy the beauty of the landscape while savoring their meals.
Our team played a vital role throughout the design process. We were involved in every detail, from planning the layout of the restaurant to creating custom signage. It was important that the design reflected the refined atmosphere of the country club while maintaining a welcoming feel.
We provided comprehensive architectural services for this project, ensuring that the remodeled restaurant not only aligned with the client’s vision and needs but also highlighted the area’s stunning natural beauty. The end result is a refined and welcoming dining space that enhances the overall experience for guests at Tackett’s Restaurant, creating a delightful atmosphere that invites return visits.
